Eddie Scholtz - President & CEO

Mr. Scholtz has 40 years of experience in the mining industry, primarily in South America and Africa. During his career he spent 37 years with BHP Billiton where he held a variety of positions including Managing Director of Ingwe Collieries, BHP Billiton's wholly-owned South African coal business, now known as BHP Billiton Energy Coal South Africa. In this role Mr. Scholtz oversaw one of the largest coal businesses in the world. More recently Mr. Scholtz was also Managing Director for BHP Billiton's bauxite and alumina operations in Suriname in South America and is COO Mining for TSX listed CIC Energy Corp. Mr. Scholtz has undertaken management development studies at London Business School, University of South Africa (UNISA), and University of Cape Town's Graduate Business School.

Luis Mauricio F. de Azevedo - COO

Mr. de Azevedo is a Lawyer and Geologist in Brazil with over 20 years of experience in the mining industry, dealing primarily with gold, industrial minerals, copper and nickel. Mr. Azevedo received a Geology Degree from Universidade Do Estado Do Rio De Janeiro in 1986, a Law Degree from Faculdade Integradas Candido Mendes in 1992 and a Master of Law Degree from Pontifice Universidade Catolica Do Rio de Janeiro in 1995. He is a partner at FFA Legal Support for Mining Co. 

Manoel Carlos Cerqueira - CFO

Mr. Cerqueira has over 27 years of accounting and finance experience, including 20 years in the mining industry. Mr. Cerqueira's previous positions include CFO and Country Manager for TSXV listed Amazon Mining Ltd in 2007-2008, and as Finance Director, VP Finance and Country Manager for Kinross Brazil during 2003-2007. In 2008 he founded MCC Legal Ltda. and has been the Managing Partner since then. Mr. Cerqueira is registered with the Accounting Regional Council in Brazil and is also a lawyer registered with the Brazilian Bar Association. He began his career with Arthur Andersen in Brazil.

Stuart Comline - Technical Director

Mr. Comline is a past Chairman and President of AfriOre Limited, a TSX-listed mining company which was sold to Lonmin plc for C$500 million in 2007. Mr. Comline has 35 years of experience in the exploration and mining industry in Africa and Canada. He spent 20 years with JCI Limited in a number of senior managerial positions including General Manager, Exploration, responsible for all exploration activities and geology. He has experience in various commodities including gold, platinum, base metals and coal. Mr. Comline holds B.Sc. Hons. degree from the University of Natal and M.Sc. degree from the University of Western Ontario.

Paulo Ilidio de Brito - V.P. Exploration

Mr. Ilidio de Brito is an Exploration Geologist with a Geology Degree from Universidade Do Estado Do Rio De Janeiro in 1985 and over 20 years experience in the mining industry. Mr. Brito has been Consultant Geologist of BRASGEO Mineração Ltda. since 2002. From 1986 to 2001, he was Senior Geologist of WMC Mineração Ltda and from 2001 to joining Talon (formerly BrazMin) in 2004, he served as a Senior Geologist and Project Manager in Brazil with Teck Cominco Limited.

Ricardo Álvares de Campos Cordeiro - Manager, Mining Engineering

Mr. Cordeiro has 32 years of mining related experience including service with Vale's iron ore group in Brazil. His experience includes mineral processing and project development, exploration project management, economic and financial studies, resource definition and feasibility and scoping studies. Mr. Cordeiro received a Bachelor of Mining Engineering degree from Universidade Federal de Ouro Prêto and a Master of Science degree in Mineral Engineering from Universidade de São Paulo. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists.

Marco Antonio da Silva Faria - Chief Geologist, Inajá South Project

Mr. Faria is a geologist with 27 years of experience in the mining industry, including service with Anglo American, Codelco, Gold Fields and Eldorado Gold. Prior to joining Talon he worked for Codelco on the Trairão project area undertaking exploration for Cu-Au-Iron deposits. Mr. Faria holds a degree in geology from Universidade Federal de Ouro Prêto.

Maurício Prado - Chief Geologist, Trairão Project and Manager Geostatistics

Mr. Prado is a geologist with 13 years of mining related experience including major companies as Votorantim Metais, Vale and Paranapanema. His experience includes projects for mineral resources of iron, base metals and gold. In addition, Mauricio has experience in geological controls of open-pit mines, and geometallurgy. and he holds a degree in geology from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul and a Master of Geochemistry degree from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul.

Elton João Zimmermann - Consultant

Mr. Zimmermann is a geologist with 34 years of experience, which has primarily been focused in the exploration and mining sector, specifically iron ore, gold and base metals projects.  In recent years he has specialized on work on the greenstone belts in Pará State, and on iron ore projects, such as Big Mac. Prior to joining Talon, Mr. Zimmermann worked as a consultant for Codelco do Brasil Mineração Ltda on the Trairão Iron Project. He received a degree in geology from the Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos.
